- As an Associate Embedded Software Engineer on AnySignal’s Space Software team, you’ll develop mission-critical embedded software for advanced radio systems supporting space and defense applications
- You’ll gain hands-on experience across the embedded software stack, from low-level RF integrated circuit drivers and high-speed FPGA interfaces to embedded Linux, networking, and fault-tolerant software architecture
- You’ll work alongside experienced software, hardware, and FPGA engineers to solve real engineering challenges, contribute to reliable communications and sensing capabilities, and take on increasing technical ownership as you grow
- Your work will directly support products operating in demanding environments where reliability and performance are essential
- Own the development of mission-critical embedded C++ running on Linux-based embedded systems
- Collaborate with software, hardware, DSP, and FPGA engineers to define the system requirements, interfaces, and architecture
- Participate in hardware bring-up, schematic reviews, and hands-on debugging of embedded radio platforms
- Build automated hardware-in-the-loop tests to validate system performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across embedded hardware and software systems
- Work directly with our customers to integrate our products into their flight systems, debug RF links, and ensure mission success
- Understanding of embedded systems through at least 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent internship, coursework, or hands-on project experience
- Passion for understanding the hardware that your software talks to
- Working knowledge of C++ or C programming
- Experience developing software on Linux platforms or microcontrollers
- Willingness to learn new technologies and take ownership of technical challenges
- Experience with network programming, including TCP/IP, UDP, and socket programming
- Understanding of digital signal processing, modem design, and RF communications concepts
- Experience with board bring-up, schematic review, and troubleshooting hardware
- Hands-on experience testing and debugging RF hardware in a lab environment using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other RF test equipment
- Experience developing for Xilinx MPSoC-based devices
- Experience with Linux platform development, such as Buildroot, U-Boot, and Xilinx FSBL creation
- Experience writing RTL for FPGAs or software that interacts with the FPGA fabric
- Experience with Python, build systems (CMake, Make, Bazel), and CI pipeline development (GitLab)
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing
