Answer the three questions below in the field "What interests you about working for this company?" of the application form. Start your answer with the word "Schaffhausen". Applications without the answers or without that word are rejected without review.

  1. In which specific project did you deploy with Serverless Framework 3.x? Name the company and describe how your serverless.yml was structured (stages, plugins, custom variables).
  2. Where have you used Sequelize with PostgreSQL in production? Describe one migration or association you wrote yourself.
  3. Confirm you have read the compensation: $1,500 / ₹135,000 net per month, fixed, no negotiation. Yes or no.

If you have not done 1 or 2, say so. An honest no is fine. Answers that do not match your CV end the application. Write the answers yourself.

Do Not Apply If

  • Your AWS work is EC2, S3 or containers (ECS, EKS, Fargate) rather than Lambda
  • You use Prisma, TypeORM, Drizzle or Knex instead of Sequelize
  • You deploy with CDK, SAM or Terraform instead of Serverless Framework 3.x
  • Node.js is not your primary backend language
  • You have less than 3 years of professional backend experience
  • You run a company, freelance on the side or hold a co-founder role. This position is full time and exclusive

About the Role

We're looking for a backend developer who respects existing architecture. Gumb has a production codebase that works, and we need an engineer who takes ownership of it rather than rewriting it in the latest framework. If you're uncomfortable working with legacy systems, this role isn't for you.

You'll work directly on our serverless backend on AWS, maintaining and extending the platform our users rely on every day.
