Chief Development Officer (Miltech)
Hi! We’re Moodro, a Ukrainian DefenseTech company developing autonomous counter-UAS solutions. Our technologies are already deployed in real combat environments, helping military units counter aerial threats more effectively.
We’re looking for a Chief Development Officer (CDO) — a strategic leader who will build Development into one of Moodro’s core business functions and lead the company’s international growth.
This role is for someone who can identify opportunities ahead of the curve, build high-performing teams, and turn ambitious ideas into tangible results.
Your focus will go beyond short-term growth — you’ll create opportunities that shape Moodro’s long-term future and scale.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Strategy & Growth. Define long-term priorities for the Development function, identify new growth opportunities, and drive Moodro’s expansion.
Leadership & Development Function. Build and lead the Development department, establish a strong team, and take ownership of its overall performance.
Strategic Partnerships & Business Development. Develop partnerships with international customers, government and defense organizations, manufacturers, integrators, and technology companies. Lead strategic negotiations at the executive level.
Government Relations, Marketing, PR & Events. Set strategic priorities for these functions, oversee their development, and ensure their contribution to the company’s business objectives.
International Growth & Market Presence. Expand Moodro’s international presence, enter new markets, and strengthen the company’s position in the global DefenseTech industry.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of leadership experience in Business Development, Strategy, Growth, Commercial, Product, or related functions.
A proven track record of international business growth, successful market entry, and strategic partnership development.
Experience building or scaling teams and business functions, with accountability for their performance.
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, align priorities across teams, and operate at a company-wide strategic level.
Strong understanding of product-driven businesses and how market needs, technological capabilities, and business strategy intersect.
Experience leading strategic negotiations with C-level executives, international partners, government institutions, or defense organizations.
Fluency in English and willingness to travel regularly to Kyiv to collaborate with the team and key stakeholders.
Nice to Have
Experience in DefenseTech, MilTech, DeepTech, or hardware.
Experience in Government Relations, B2G
