Event Manager / Producer
Compensation: $60k – $70k
Galaktica is a Ukrainian product IT company that has been developing mobile applications and web products for Tier-1 markets since 2019. Our team brings together 350+ professionals with deep expertise, working from different parts of the world. We build international products, experiment with new approaches, and rapidly scale solutions that improve the lives of millions of users.
Giving back is an important part of Galaktica's mission. Since 2022, we have provided extensive volunteer and humanitarian support across multiple initiatives, with a primary focus on supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Our contributions include dozens of off-road vehicles and commercial drones, hundreds of FPV drones, unmanned ground vehicles equipped with turrets, and ATVs. We also support two charitable foundations focused on the rehabilitation of military personnel and assistance for children of service members and those affected by the war.
We are currently looking for an Event Manager / Producer to join our team and help develop the offline events program for our dating app in the U.S. market.
In this role, you will take ownership of the entire event lifecycle — from venue sourcing and planning to on-site execution and post-event analysis. This is an opportunity to build a new events program from the ground up and create unique, engaging experiences for our app's users.
Location: United States. Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, are our preferred locations. We also welcome candidates from other cities in Pennsylvania and neighboring states who are available to attend events in person.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver end-to-end offline events — from initial planning and preparation to execution and post-event evaluation;
- Source and select venues, negotiate with venue partners, agree on terms and conditions, and manage bookings;
- Plan and manage event budgets, optimize expenses, and prepare financial reports;
- Establish an efficient attendee registration process together with the team, manage guest lists, and ensure smooth check-in through our app;
- Source and coordinate vendors and contractors, and arrange photo and video coverage according to the team's briefs;
- Ensure successful on-site event execution — oversee schedules, coordinate activities, and resolve operational issues as they arise;
- Analyze the results of each event, prepare reports with key metrics and recommendations for improvement, and maintain regular asynchronous communication with the team.
What weʼre looking for:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience independently organizing offline events in consumer events, nightlife, hospitality, or community events;
- Proven experience organizing events for 30–100 attendees, with full ownership of all stages of execution;
- Experience sourcing venues, negotiating with venue partners, managing budgets, and coordinating vendors;
- Strong skills in attendee registration, guest list management, and post-event performance analysis;
- Independence and ownership — the ability to make decisions, take responsibility for outcomes, and respond effectively to unexpected situations;
- Based in Pennsylvania (preferably Philadelphia or Pittsburgh) or a neighboring state, with the ability to attend events in person;
- C1 English proficiency or higher — confident, fluent communication with local partners, vendors, and event attendees.
Nice to have:
- An established network of local venues, hosts, photographers, promoters, and other event partners;
- Experience working with startups, launching new event formats, and organizing events with limited budgets;
- Experience hosting or moderating events;
- Basic photo and video content creation skills for social media;
- Experience attracting attendees through local communities, influencers, and partnerships.
