About the Role

Join a small, early-stage consumer apps team as a founding design engineer. You will take product ideas from sketch through implementation and release, helping shape the full mobile app experience.

What You'll Do

  • Build mobile features from initial sketches through app store release.

  • Create polished, native-feeling screens with thoughtful motion and haptic feedback.

  • Develop product loops that encourage people to return to the app.

  • Use product data and user conversations to evaluate features and improve the experience.

  • Stay involved with the product after launch and refine what is not working.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience shipping mobile apps used by real people, with work that can be reviewed in an app store or similar setting.

  • Experience designing visual and interaction details and implementing the resulting product code.

  • Hands-on experience with Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin for mobile development.

  • Familiarity with Firebase and TypeScript.

  • Strong attention to detail, initiative in an open-ended environment, and the ability to use AI tools while understanding the code you ship.

Compensation & Benefits

Location

On-site in Palo Alto, California, United States. Candidates must be based in Palo Alto or willing to relocate.
