This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Enterprise FP&A based in the United States.

We are looking for a hands-on, strategic finance leader to build and lead enterprise-wide financial planning and analysis in a fast-growing, complex business environment. In this highly visible role, you will own annual operating plans, long-range planning, reforecasting, and financial consolidation from end to end. You will establish scalable planning frameworks, standardize financial reporting, and create a trusted source of financial data to support executive decision-making. Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you will challenge assumptions, drive accountability, and align business priorities with financial objectives. This player-coach opportunity combines strategic influence with direct ownership of financial models, processes, and systems, with a focus on improving planning accuracy, operational discipline, and decision-making speed. The role offers remote flexibility for eligible U.S. residents, alongside opportunities to make a meaningful impact on business performance and growth.

Accountabilities:

  • Enterprise Planning Leadership: Own the complete financial planning cycle, including the annual operating plan (AOP), reforecasting, and long-range planning (LRP), from initial planning through executive presentations and final deliverables.

  • Planning Frameworks and Timelines: Design and manage the planning calendar, establish milestones and assumptions, coordinate inputs across departments, and ensure timely, high-quality planning outputs.

  • Financial Consolidation and Reporting: Build and maintain an enterprise-wide consolidation framework, standardize financial definitions and key performance indicators, and deliver consistent reporting that leadership can rely on.

  • Financial Modeling and Analysis: Personally develop and maintain financial models, evaluate assumptions, challenge departmental forecasts, and translate financial insights into actionable business recommendations.

  • Process Improvement and Scalability: Replace manual, fragmented workflows with efficient, repeatable planning and reporting processes. Document standards and build systems that improve transparency, accuracy, and speed.

  • Executive Partnership: Work directly with executive leadership to support strategic decisions, communicate financial performance and risks, and connect financial analysis with business priorities.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Bring finance and operational teams together around shared objectives, resolve competing priorities, and hold stakeholders accountable for agreed plans and commitments.

  • Team Development: Serve as a player-coach, mentoring and supporting one direct report while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day execution of enterprise FP&A activities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Elevate FP&A into a core strategic decision-making function by strengthening financial discipline, planning rigor, and organizational visibility into performance.

Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: At least 8 years of experience in FP&A, finance operations, or enterprise planning, ideally in a high-growth or complex organization where processes and structures needed to be built or significantly improved.

  • End-to-End Planning Expertise: Demonstrated experience leading annual operating plans and multiyear financial planning cycles, from kickoff and stakeholder coordination through executive-level presentations.

  • Financial Modeling: Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate assumptions, assess business performance, and generate meaningful financial insights.

  • Consolidation and Reporting: Hands-on experience improving financial consolidation, reporting systems, planning processes, and overall financial rigor.

  • Process Design: Ability to develop scalable frameworks, establish consistent methodologies, document processes, and improve the efficiency and reliability of financial planning.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to align competing priorities, coordinate multiple departments, and maintain momentum toward shared financial and operational goals.

  • Executive Communication: Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial information and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

  • Influence and Accountability: Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions, influence decisions, and hold stakeholders accountable at every organizational level.

  • Builder Mindset: A proactive, hands-on approach, comfort working directly in financial models and data, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution.

  • Education: A college degree is not required. Candidates from diverse educational backgrounds and nontraditional career paths are encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate the relevant experience and capabilities.

  • Location Eligibility: Applicants must reside in one of the following states to qualify for the remote Work Your Way arrangement: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, or Wyoming.

  • Working Style: Willingness to participate in quarterly in-person corporate gatherings in Lincoln, Nebraska, focused on collaboration, team building, community engagement, and company-wide updates.

Benefits:

  • Remote Work Flexibility: A flexible work arrangement that allows employees to choose where they work most effectively, with quarterly in-person team gatherings in Lincoln, Nebraska.

  • Paid Time Off: A generous vacation policy and paid time off for wedding week.

  • Parental Support: Paid parental leave and resources to support growing families.

  • Healthcare Coverage: Affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance plans with nationwide coverage.

  • Wellness Resources: Free telehealth services and on-demand mental health resources.

  • Community Engagement: Paid time off for volunteering and opportunities to contribute to meaningful social-impact initiatives.

  • Recognition and Rewards: Annual milestone recognition, gifts, merchandise credit or donations to a nonprofit of the employee’s choice, and awards recognizing meaningful contributions.
