LIBRE Regional Field Manager, Harrisburg
Posted Updated
Rooted in the Hispanic community, The LIBRE Initiative brings people together to advance public policy solutions that create the freedom and opportunity that people need to chase their American Dream. LIBRE empowers our communities by fixing our broken immigration system, encouraging affordable and flexible healthcare options, building an individualized education system, and promoting a robust economy that helps everyone succeed.
The LIBRE Initiative is a part of Americans for Prosperity and the Stand Together philanthropic community.
As a Regional Field Manager (internally called a Grassroots Engagement Director), you’ll recruit and mobilize grassroots leaders across the Harrisburg Tri-County area in Pennsylvania and inspire them to take action and drive policy reforms that open opportunities for all. How You Will Contribute
- Find and develop local activists who are, or could become, leaders in their communities
- Equip them to advocate for change using LIBRE’s training and resources
- Organize phone banks, social media outreach, and neighborhood canvassing, and come up with creative ways to educate people on public policy issues
- Keep activists motivated, informed, and active through regular contact
- Manage part-time canvassing contractors, including time management, legal compliance, and best practices
What You Will Bring
- Passion for people and a knack for quickly building relationships with people from all walks of life
- Knowledge of state and federal public policy
- Self-motivation and strong organization to keep multiple events and activities on track
- A team-first approach with LIBRE staff and activists
- Excitement to canvass neighborhoods and make phone calls for LIBRE and AFP priority initiatives and AFP Action endorsed candidates, and to motivate and coordinate volunteers to do the same
- A valid driver’s license for travel across the Harrisburg area and Pennsylvania
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude
- Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
Standout Candidates Will Bring
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, or political campaigns
- Volunteer or staff supervisory experience
