About us
Smart Capital Center, also known as SpaceQuant, builds an AI-powered automation and decision platform that helps lenders, real estate investors, and asset managers value commercial real estate assets and monitor how they perform. Work that used to take analysts days now takes minutes.
Leading banks, insurance companies, and investment firms use our platform, including Pacific Life Insurance, Aareal Bank, KeyBank, and JLL. We’re headquartered in San Francisco, and our team works across the US, Ukraine, the Philippines, and India.
The role
We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer who loves turning complex, data-heavy workflows into experiences that feel simple and intuitive. You’ll own the end-to-end product experience, from research to polished UI. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and leadership, and your designs will be used every day by some of the world’s largest financial institutions.
What you’ll do
-Own the product experience and make sure it meets business and client needs
-Plan and run user research and usability testing, and turn the insights into clear design decisions
-Design new applications and improve existing products with well-grounded solutions
-Create user flows, annotated wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI
-Bring ideas that make the product clearer, faster, and easier to use
-Present your design work to stakeholders and explain the reasoning behind it
-Collaborate daily with engineering, product, and business teams in an Agile environment
What you bring
-3+ years of UI/UX design experience
-Experience designing complex analytical or data-driven applications, plus the ability to make complicated processes feel simple
-Strong UX skills: user flows, annotated wireframes, user research, and testing
-Excellent visual design skills (layout, typography, color) and a sense for how users interact with a system
-Deep knowledge of UI patterns and Apple and Google design guidelines
-Proficiency in Figma; experience with Sketch, Photoshop, or Illustrator is a plus
-Systems- and product-oriented thinking, with a proactive, ownership mindset
-Awareness of current UI trends, techniques, and technologies
-Superb attention to detail
-Advanced English and strong presentation skills
-Ability to work independently and take responsibility for results
Nice to have
-Long-term ownership of a product or feature where your work led to a measurable improvement in customer experience
-Interest in FinTech, financial applications, or real estate
Why join us
-Design AI-powered products that are transforming a $17T industry
-Shape how users interact with LLMs, agents, and automation in real-world applications
-See your work used daily by the world’s largest financial institutions
-High ownership and autonomy, with a real voice in product and design direction
-A fast-moving, execution-focused team with minimal bureaucracy, where the CEO and CTO join daily standups
