Location: Paducah, KY

Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | 40 Hours per Week (Not to Exceed 9 Months – Seasonal Term)
Reports To: MOD Coordinator & Residential Restoration Specialist/Trainer
Position Overview
The Residential Restoration Assistant helps restore and modernize vacant housing units for the Housing Authority of Paducah. The role supports technicians and supervisors by performing general labor, cleaning, basic maintenance, and repair tasks to prepare units for livable conditions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with cleaning and preparing units for restoration (sweeping, mopping, debris removal).
- Support technicians in repairing fixtures, appliances, and surfaces.
- Safely handle and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work vehicles and storage areas.
- Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols.
- Perform basic tasks such as changing light bulbs, hanging blinds, and replacing hardware.
- Transport materials and supplies to job sites as needed.
- Document work performed and communicated unit status to supervisors.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Contribute to team efforts and perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Exposure to construction-related environmental conditions
Work Environment
- Exposure to moderate construction-related risks
- Mechanical, electrical, chemical, and environmental hazards
- Use of required safety gear and protective equipment
Employment Terms
- Seasonal appointment not to exceed nine (9) months
- May require alternate schedules or emergency response
- Work performed under general supervision
