Please read this job description thoroughly before applying. Applications that don’t follow the instructions will not be considered.
About NexBrix NexBrix is a software platform for hospitality businesses. It covers staff timesheets, rosters, stock counts, expense claims and more. It runs as a web app and on Android and iPhone. We are launching to paying customers soon, and we need a dependable tester to help us get it right.
The role

You will share what you plan to test or write that day and anything blocking you. You will send a short end-of-day report on what you tested, bugs logged and help articles written. You will report to the lead developer.
Responsibilities
Testing: Test new and existing features on the web and mobile apps. Log clear, reproducible bug reports and retest fixes. Security testing: Test the security side of the web and mobile apps. This includes checking login and access controls (for example, a staff member must not be able to see manager or other staff data), session handling, data exposure, and input validation. Report any security concerns clearly and privately to the lead developer. User help and documentation: As you learn each feature, write simple help articles for our customers. Examples are “How to submit a timesheet” and “How to set your roster availability”. You will: Write step-by-step guides in plain, easy-to-follow English Add screenshots or short screen recordings to the guides Organise the articles into a help centre structure (categories, titles, and links between articles) Keep the help content up to date when features change Flag anything in the app that is confusing to a new user. This is useful product feedback.
What we’re looking for
Awareness of basic web and mobile security testing (OWASP Top 10 or similar) is a plus. Hands-on manual testing experience on web and mobile apps The ability to write bug reports with exact steps, expected vs actual results, and screenshots or screen recordings A habit of testing edge cases, not just the obvious path Clear written English. You can explain a process simply to someone who has never seen the app. Reliability and punctuality. You are online and working during agreed hours, you join the stand-up on time, and you communicate clearly. A laptop and stable internet. An Android or iPhone for mobile testing is a plus. Basic knowledge of Jira, Trello or a similar tracker is a plus. Experience with help-centre tools (Notion, Google Docs, Zendesk, Intercom or similar) or screen-recording tools (Loom or similar) is a plus. Playwright or automation knowledge is a bonus but not required.
What we’re not looking for Copy-pasted checklists and generic content. We care about real testing on our real product and documentation based on how the app actually works.

Shortlisted candidates will receive details of an assessment that takes about 30–45 minutes. The first week is a paid trial. Candidates who perform well in the trial continue as regular team members from the second week onwards.
