Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack, Practice Engineer)
Posted
Summary
Senior full-stack engineer who builds and ships customer-facing features end-to-end across NexHealth's React/TypeScript web app, iOS app, and backend APIs for scheduling, payments, forms, messaging, and insurance verification, while mentoring engineers and shaping product direction in a small distributed team.
- Practice Engineering (PX) owns the parts of NexHealth that people actually touch: our customer-facing web app, our iOS app, and the backend APIs behind them
- Our users are front desk staff, office managers, and patients. We judge our work by one question: did it make their day easier?
- We’re a small, distributed team with very little process. That means a lot of room to shape what we build and how. It also means nobody will hand you a perfectly scoped ticket
- Build and ship features across our React/TypeScript web app, our iOS app, and the backend services that power scheduling, payments, forms, messaging, and insurance verification
- Own features end to end: define the problem, shape the solution with product and design, build it, roll it out, and keep iterating based on how it’s actually used
- Bring your own point of view on what we should build. You’ll look for friction in how clinics and patients use the product, and you’ll make the case for fixing it
- Find the problems worth solving instead of waiting for well-defined work to arrive
- Mentor other engineers and raise the bar on how the team designs, reviews, and ships
- Influence decisions beyond your own work, shaping product direction and technical approach across the PX product

- Experience partnering closely with product and design as a peer, contributing ideas rather than just implementing specs
