Senior Software Engineer (R14285)

• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build, and operate scalable platform services and shared libraries that improve developer productivity, system reliability, and delivery velocity
• In your first year, success means delivering complex platform capabilities end-to-end, contributing to architecture decisions, and raising engineering quality through strong technical practices and mentorship
• You’ll design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable platform services and shared libraries
• You’ll contribute to platform and system architecture decisions with a focus on reliability, scalability, and developer experience
• You’ll write high-quality, maintainable code and model strong engineering best practices
• You’ll collaborate with Staff Engineers and peers to implement standards and patterns that support Continuous Delivery
• You’ll identify and address performance, scalability, and reliability issues across platform services
• You’ll participate actively in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions, providing thoughtful and constructive feedback
• You’ll drive operational excellence by improving monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices
• You’ll investigate root causes of production issues and implement long-term fixes to reduce on-call burden
• You’ll mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance
• You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that create measurable business and customer value
• You’ll bring ideas for how we can do things better - proactively, not just when asked
• You’ll look for ways to use AI tools thoughtfully - to work smarter, reduce manual work, and make better decisions faster

• You have strong problem-solving and debugging skills, effective communication and collaboration skills, and experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team-level technical leadership
• You have experience with Continuous Delivery practices and automated deployment pipelines
• You bring working knowledge of secure development practices and security considerations in distributed systems
• You bring proficiency in Java, C#, C++, or similar backend languages, with strong knowledge of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms
• You’ll have 7-8 years of related software engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, or a master’s degree with an equivalent combination of education and experience
• You bring 4+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
