Software Engineer (Cloud Logistics)

- As a Software Engineer II you will play a critical role in working with our world-class cross-functional team to help develop and build the world’s most advanced robotic fulfillment system! Nimble Cloud Logistics is a lean, 10-person team that is core to delivering effective solutions to Nimble’s customers
- On occasion, the team is expected to work extended hours, including weekends, to launch large revenue opportunities for the company. This role is approximately 60% backend, 40% frontend focused. Please note, no robotics or logistics experience required for this role
- Design and develop automation workflows, write unit/integration/system tests and conducting reviews to make sure your work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded and effectively tuned for performance and quality
- Push and maintain code in production
- Be available for production support
- Measure and debug performance bottlenecks for a suite of products
- Be able to ship a feature end to end: frontend, backend, CI, infrastructure
- Be a mentor for junior engineers
- Solid understanding of cloud security practices
- Good understanding of writing unit and integration tests
- 1-2+ years of industry experience
- Experience with REST, SQL, CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes, message brokering, and Docker
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong technical documentation skills (architecture diagrams + sequence diagramming)
- Experience building full stack cloud applications (both frontend and backend)
