Software Engineer

• GovWell is hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build our core platform that powers faster, more efficient government services.
• This role reports directly to our CTO and Co-Founder, Ben Cohen, and offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical product areas in a fast-growing company
• You’ll work across the stack — from frontend to backend — to design, build, and ship features that directly improve how governments operate and how residents access services
• Build, test, and ship full-stack features across GovWell’s platform — from intuitive resident-facing interfaces to scalable backend services that power government workflows
• Collaborate closely with the teammates to translate customer needs into usable, high-impact product functionality
• Take ownership of product areas end-to-end, ensuring features are reliable, maintainable, and performant in real-world government environments
• Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and best practices that strengthen the team’s engineering culture and velocity
• Use customer feedback and product data to iterate quickly, improving both resident experiences and government efficiency
