Software Engineer

• ModernFi is hiring software engineers to join a talented and collaborative team building the foundation of our platform
• You’ll work on critical systems from day one, with meaningful ownership and the opportunity to shape the direction of our products and infrastructure

• You’ll grow your expertise, work on mission-critical systems, and contribute to products that help banks and credit unions better serve their communities, improving financial health nationwide
• Design and build scalable, maintainable, and correct backend services to support ModernFi’s core products and bank integrations
• Lead or contribute to technical initiatives, with opportunities to define architecture, lead projects, and mentor teammates
• Partner closely with Product to define requirements, translate business needs into technical specs, and ship elegant, impactful features
• Uphold and evolve engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation
• Participate in design discussions, conduct code reviews, and contribute to technical decisions that scale with our business
• Tackle challenging technical problems with innovative and pragmatic solutions
• Help cultivate an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture grounded in trust, ownership, and collaboration

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
• 4+ years of software engineering experience (flexible depending on level), ideally with Python, AWS, or similar modern technologies
