Solutions Architect

• As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Solutions Architect who can bridge the gap between our customers’ business needs and our technology
• This person will bring deep accounts payable expertise, strong technical and analytical capabilities, and a consultative mindset to help customers design solutions that deliver measurable business value
• This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, asking the right questions, and turning ambiguity into clear, scalable solutions
• As a Solutions Architect, you will work closely with customers, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective Vic.ai solutions
• You will be a trusted technical and functional advisor throughout the customer journey - helping customers understand what is possible, identifying the best approach to solving their challenges, and ensuring that proposed solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with the capabilities of the Vic.ai platform
• You will combine deep AP process knowledge, technical fluency, solution design, and AI expertise to help customers rethink how their finance operations can work
• Partner with Sales and customers to understand business objectives, current-state processes, pain points, and desired outcomes
• Lead discovery sessions and translate complex business requirements into clear solution designs
• Bring deep expertise in accounts payable and finance processes, including invoice processing, approvals, exceptions, vendor management, and related workflows
• Design solutions that leverage Vic.ai’s capabilities while balancing customer requirements, scalability, maintainability, and time to value
• Act as a subject matter expert on how AI can transform AP processes and help customers identify opportunities to move beyond simple automation
• Develop solution architectures, process flows, requirements documentation, and other materials needed to clearly communicate proposed solutions
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to evaluate technical feasibility, identify product gaps, and communicate customer requirements
• Partner with Implementation teams to ensure that solutions designed during the sales process can be successfully delivered
• Identify risks, dependencies, edge cases, and potential downstream impacts before they become implementation issues
• Participate in customer presentations, technical discussions, demonstrations, and solution workshops
• Help customers understand tradeoffs and make informed decisions rather than simply accepting every requested customization
• Contribute to improving our solution design methodology, documentation, and best practices as the organization scales
• Develop reusable solution patterns that can accelerate future implementations and improve consistency across customers
• Stay current on AI capabilities and actively experiment with new AI tools to improve your own productivity and the quality of your work
• Use AI as a core part of your workflow for research, analysis, documentation, problem solving, and solution development
• Share effective AI practices and approaches with colleagues and help raise the overall level of AI fluency across the organization

• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical and functional solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break complex problems into manageable components
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment
• Experience in a Solutions Architect, Solution Consultant, Technical Consultant, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, or similar customer-facing role
• A consultative mindset and genuine curiosity about how businesses operate
• Excellent discovery skills - you know how to ask the questions that uncover the real problem, not just the stated requirement
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to use AI extensively in your day-to-day work
• Significant experience in accounts payable, finance operations, ERP, AP automation, or a closely related domain
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts simply
• Deep understanding of AP processes and the systems that support them
• Experience working with ERP systems and understanding how financial data and workflows move between systems
• Strong judgment around when to configure, when to customize, and when to challenge a customer requirement
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• You are a builder who enjoys creating structure, processes, and reusable approaches where they don’t yet exist
• You understand AP deeply enough to recognize when a customer is solving the wrong problem
• You care about the customer’s actual business outcome - not simply getting a solution implemented
• You challenge assumptions respectfully and aren’t afraid to tell a customer or internal stakeholder when there is a better approach
• You can move comfortably between a CFO-level business conversation and a technical discussion with an engineer
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy figuring things out when there isn’t an obvious answer
• You are excited about what AI makes possible and are constantly looking for ways to apply it to your work
• You naturally look for patterns and scalable solutions rather than one-off fixes
• For this role in particular, we expect you to be an AI-native problem solver. You should be comfortable using AI to research, analyze, document, prototype, communicate, and solve problems - and equally comfortable helping our customers understand how AI can fundamentally change the way their finance teams operate
