In this role, you will lead the technical design, development, and delivery of digital solutions, ensuring they are robust, secure, and scalable. You will act as the vital link between business objectives and technology implementation, combining hands-on technical expertise with leadership to mentor teams and drive excellence in solution delivery. Your key responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end technical design and architecture for assigned solution areas, with a focus on custom-built and customer-facing scientific software applications and integrated with lab and equipment software. - Translate stakeholder and product requirements into actionable technical tasks, ensuring clear acceptance criteria and technical context. - Drive operational excellence by implementing DevOps best practices and continuous improvement of system reliability, scalability, and performance. Recommend and execute improvements to system design, architecture, and operational processes. - Oversee development and implementation of solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and enterprise architecture. - Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and test coverage; manage technical debt proactively. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, solution and enterprise architects, designers, developers, QA, operations) to deliver high-quality outcomes. - Take ownership of the technical health of the team's area, identifying and prioritizing issues, delegating tasks, and escalating when necessary. - Mentor and coach developers and technical team members, fostering growth and continuous learning.
