About the Role
The Sophos XDR (Extended Detection and Response) and Sophos Endpoint product team leads the charge in protecting organizations against modern adversaries. Our mission is to provide unmatched visibility, AI-powered detections, and rapid response capabilities across the entire IT ecosystem.
We are looking for a strategic and customer-obsessed Senior Product Manager to lead the product strategy for our market-leading EDR and XDR solutions. In this role, you will define how organizations detect, investigate, and neutralize advanced threats. You will own the roadmap for core detection efficacy, telemetry ingestion pipelines, analyst workflows, and third-party integrations. This role offers a significant opportunity to influence the broader platform strategy, contributing directly to our growth in the enterprise segment.
What You Will Do
- Define and drive the product vision and strategy for Sophos EDR and XDR aligned to customer outcomes and business goals.
- Own roadmap decisions across detection efficacy, telemetry, threat hunting, investigation, and response workflows.
- Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Threat Intelligence, UX, and Program Management to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions.
- Lead integration strategy across first-party and third-party telemetry sources, shaping the future of an open XDR ecosystem.
- Engage directly with enterprise customers, partners, and field teams to gather insights and validate product direction.
- Support go-to-market efforts, including positioning, enablement, and competitive differentiation with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Define and track success metrics such as detection accuracy, analyst efficiency, platform adoption, and customer satisfaction.
- Influence pricing and packaging strategy to drive EDR and XDR adoption and growth within Sophos Central.
- Stay ahead of the threat landscape and competitor moves to keep Sophos on the leading edge of detection and response.
What You Will Bring
- Significant experience as a Product Manager, ideally in cybersecurity, endpoint, detection and response, or security platforms. Experience of working with AI or LLMs in products would be a plus.
- Strong understanding of EDR and XDR concepts, including telemetry, detection engineering, investigation workflows, and response actions.
- Product Sense and User Empathy: Deep customer empathy for SOC analysts, incident responders, and IT administrators, with an intuition for workflows that reduce alert fatigue and speed time to resolution.
- Platform Mindset: Experience building platform capabilities such as APIs, integrations, and extensible data models, and comfort with data pipelines, schemas, and integration strategies.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to define long-term product direction and translate it into executable roadmap outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience leading without direct authority and partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success on GTM strategy.
- Execution Focus: Proven ability to deliver in complex, fast-moving environments, balancing technical depth with commercial impact and using qualitative and quantitative data to guide decisions.
- Nice to have: Popular EDR vendor experience, global SaaS delivery experience, LLM knowledge, and security certifications like CISSP.
