Software and AI engineer

Compensation: $80k – $100k • No equity

Overview

Build and deliver software that turns complex data into practical AI solutions. As an AI and Software Engineer, you’ll develop machine learning systems, connect data pipelines, and help teams use reliable insights in real-world applications. You’ll work across model development, software engineering, analytics, and deployment, with a focus on clear, scalable results.

Duties

• Design, build, and maintain AI models and software using Python, Java, C, SQL, and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow.
• Develop ETL (extract, transform, load) pipelines and database designs for SQL databases, linked data, and big data systems, including Hadoop and Spark.
• Apply machine learning, unsupervised learning, natural language processing, generative AI, statistical modeling, predictive modeling, and data mining to research and product needs.
• Train, evaluate, deploy, and monitor models; use AWS and other machine learning cloud services to support scalability and AI implementation.
• Analyze results with statistical analysis tools and data analytics platforms, and communicate findings to technical and research partners. Your impact: Reliable models and clear analysis help teams make better-informed decisions and deliver useful AI capabilities to users.

Requirements

• Demonstrated software engineering and machine learning experience, including model training, model evaluation, and model deployment.
• Working knowledge of statistical analysis, statistical analysis for research, analytics, and machine learning/AI-based analysis.
• Familiarity with big data, Spark implementation, and tools such as Talend, SAS, R, Looker, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell).
• Ability to select appropriate methods and tools for data and software challenges; quantum engineering knowledge is a plus.
